Maintenance of patency of ductus arteriosus in neonates with congenital heart disease.
Contra Indication
:
Hypersensitivity, hyaline membrane disease.
Contraindicated during pregnancy.
Caution
:
Neonates receiving PGE, for more than 120 hr should be closely monitored for antral hyperplasia and gastric outlet, obstruction; history of haemorrhage; monitor BP, blood oxygenation and blood pH continually caution in COPD.
